6/8/2010: News Update

We have just completed 'Mr Easy Guy', a new music video, shot and edited over 48 hours in Swansea and Port Talbot. In it Nigel Osner performs his own lyric to BB Cooper's jazzy melody.
The video was directed by Dove Rangla, who also directed 'The Revelation of Reverend Jones'. A new page will soon be added under 'Past Projects'. In the mean time, see it on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCdl1xF0zQE

'The Revelation of Reverend Jones' was shown at the Torino LGBT festival. Alas, despite the festival offering to put up Nigel and the director, volcanic ash meant they couldn't travel over. However, according to a member of the festival team: "I might say your short movie got quite a huge success. Some local radio programs talk about 'The Revelation of Reverend Jones' and the audience was satisfied indeed."
Well, you can't say better than that!

'The Revelation of Reverend Jones' was recently shown at the International Christian Film Festival, Barry, and has been nominated as best UK film under 25 minutes in the International Film Festival Ireland. Next month it will also be shown at the Portobello Film Festival.

'Just One More Bite' has been selected as a film of the month by MIShorts, run by Richard Harris who set up Final Cut, the monthly Brighton short film night. Pat Garrett and Nigel Osner went along to make a vodcast about this short and 'Just One More Night'. When this is up and running, we'll give a link here.

We have had interest from a Croatian producer in 'The Road to Transylvania' and he will help provide part of the funding. The film will then be made partially in Croatia. The new website specifically for this film is up and running - see www.roadtotransylvania.com

Nigel has finished a first draft of 'Swansea Rose'.

We are delighted to welcome Daniel Grant, who has joined us as executive producer for 'The Road to Transylvania'. Daniel has produced several short films, commercials and two features through his company, Spiffing Films. Most recently he was one of the producers on 'Baseline', a feature film starring Dexter Fletcher, Gary Stretch, Jamie Foreman and Zoe Tapper. A fuller biog will appear shortly.

'Just One More Night' was nominated as best music video at the British Film Festival Los Angeles in May.

'The Revelation of Reverend Jones' has also received a nomination as best short film under 15 minutes at the Swansea Bay Film Festival.

We have started on a new project. Nigel has created a story and begun writing a feature film script based on 'The Revelation of Reverend Jones'. Called 'Swansea Rose' there are current plans for it to be made in 2010. Some way to go though. A new page will be added to the site shortly.

10/3/2009: News Update

Progress on the Road to Transylvania is slow but things are happening. Best not to say too much until there is something solid to report. However, a very well known character actor is interested in playing the King. We have some fascinating contacts, including a vampire group in London! Others have said they definitely had something to offer, then vanished. Here's a tip. If you don't want to help people in the film world, well anywhere actually, don't say you will! It's never a surprise when this happens, simply a bore.

'Just One More Night' was shown recently at events in Manchester and Brighton.

'Just One More Bite' is heading towards 20,000 viewings on YouTube, which indicates something - probably that it would have been nice to have £1 for each time it was seen!

Happy New Year!

'Just One More Night' has been accepted by the Dam Short Film Festival, taking place this February in Boulder, Nevada, USA.

Once everyone is back properly from the endless Xmas break, we will be moving on down 'The Road to Transylvania' and this will include setting up a separate website.
